All we want to live many years but nobody wants to be old. An almost deliberate ignorance exists of which it means the aging that contributes to isolate and to forget a long and important stage in our life until the inevitable moment.

To age is not synonymous of disease, senile dementia or absence of sexual desire. Either it is not it of deficiency of productive or creative capacity nor of a state of eternal fatigue that forces to take a sedentary life.

Traditionally, this stage or has been excluded from the world of the physical activities, or has been dealt it like age with few possibilities of confronting new learnings. The supply of products and services oriented to the third age has become one of the most dynamic areas of our economy. Public administrations and private companies begin to turn upside down in this type of projects due to the progressive aging of our societies.

The international course of summer SPORTIS: “Technology, Sports and Third Age. Challenges of Century XXI”, have like objective the presentation of good practices facing improving the quality of life of the greater people through exercise and the playful-sport games. Also, one looks for to promote a more active and more innovating approach to approach the sport the world of the third age being promoted “the more fashionable” accomplishment of exercises through use of new technologies.
